Universities and Enterprises Join Forces to Empower Industrial Innovation

On the morning of October 18, 2026, the signing and unveiling ceremony for the "Ke-Gong Zhiyuan Global Joint R&D Center for Animal Nutrition and Health"—a collaborative initiative between Henan University of Technology and Henan Ke'erhui Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd.—was successfully held in Conference Room 1313 of the Basic Experimental and Training Center (Building 34) on campus. Core team members from both the university and the company gathered for the event, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the deep integration of industry, academia, and research within the field of animal nutrition and health.

The ceremony was moderated by Liang Ying, Vice Dean of the School of Bioengineering. At the outset, Liang Ying introduced the attendees from both the university and the enterprise, extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Henan Ke'erhui Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., and emphasized that this collaboration will focus on addressing real-world industrial pain points, effectively bridging the gap to ensure the practical application of academic research findings.

Miao Baoji, Vice Dean of the Industrial Technology Research Institute, stated in his address that the Institute will provide comprehensive support for project applications and the commercialization of research findings. He expressed hope that the joint R&D center would focus on addressing critical technical pain points within the industry and serve as a model platform for university-enterprise collaboration. Wei Hongwei, Party Secretary of the School of Bioengineering, noted that this partnership—established during the 70th anniversary of Henan University of Technology—exemplifies the School’s core philosophy: "prioritizing talent cultivation, ensuring high-quality education, and pursuing distinctive development." He emphasized that the collaboration will align academic discipline development with industrial demands, injecting new momentum into the high-quality growth of the sector. Hu Yuansen, Dean of the School of Bioengineering, provided an overview of the university and the School, highlighting key research foundations and achievements in areas such as animal nutrition, microbial applications, and agricultural product processing. He expressed an expectation that the joint R&D center would enable both parties to tackle "bottleneck" technical challenges facing the industry. Wei Yundong, Chairman of Henan Keerhui Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., outlined the company’s development history. As a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D and production of feed additives and bio-based feed, the company operates across sectors including feed manufacturing, veterinary drug distribution, and technology import/export. With a solid industrial foundation and strong market presence, the company aims to leverage this partnership to transform the university’s research strengths into tangible industrial competitiveness. Following these remarks, Liang Xiaoxiao, a faculty member from the School of Bioengineering, and Wei Yundong, Chairman of Keerhui, signed a collaborative agreement for a joint project titled "Research on Key Technologies for Regulating Animal Intestinal Health via 'Microbe-Plant' Synergy and the Development of Novel Feed Additives."

Finally, the university and the enterprise jointly unveiled the "Ke Gong Zhi Yuan Global Joint Research Center for Animal Nutrition and Health," marking the official entry of their partnership into a phase of substantive advancement.
